Web sites collect email addresses. They also guess at email addresses when sending such things out.
You can forward such email to spam@uce.gov
It does help. Spammers resist, which lets me know it helps more than we know. Spam to my email went down after I started forwarding it all to spam@uce.gov

Also many are from pharmacies pushing enhancement products. These emails used to go straight to my bulk/spam folder but now are not being filtered and are found in my regular folder. How can I get these filtered directly into my bulk folder again?

I get at least three a day to my hotmail account, and they go straight to the “junk” folder, but that’s still annoying!
