Yes. I respond to all pop-up ads… by closing them. I’m pretty sure everyone else does, too. However, Firefox blocks most popups for me, and does it without having to pat itself on its back by telling me that it blocked a popup.

They respond because they accidentally click on these advertisements knowing that they are true. But if you notice, these advertisements are products of websites or companies that want to be known but actually they fool people. RATINGS!!.. Searching through the web is like living here on earth, some are good and some are bad.
only fools fall for those. plain and simple.
met a couple of guys that i worked with that are in there 50’s that do and ********* when they don’t get there gift after they take a survey or some crap and i have to listen to them piss and moan. and calling them fools and laughing at them
Get firefox and ABP (ad-block plus) and you’ll never see any ads at all. I recommend getting the free extensions ABP, FDM (free download manager), No Script, Tab Mix Plus and Download Helper if you want to save YouTube videos.
Ok, I’ll admit that I have clicked on them to see how far it’d get me.
But then they were asking for unnecessary information and I thought these people are SO stupid.

I would never reply or buy anything from spam or ads as well. I hope people do not encourage this behavior.
Spam, is spam. Period. I’m sorry but if you do not click then you do not get rediculious bs in your email. Ive not had a problem in my personal email ever. As far as anti-spam programs I really do not understand how they work.
